Non-Return Valve Solves Color Dispersion Issues


R.Dray Manufacturing’s new patented APV Mixing Valve adds dispersive and distributive mixing to existing injection units, with only a non-return valve change. This new design when added to an existing general purpose screw designs gives the molder a quick fix to poor color dispersion and melt quality issues.
If added to our guaranteed screw designs allows for shorter recovery times.

The standard APV has out preformed all other valves in competitive trials at various OEM’s. The APV Mixing now not only provides the most consistent closure but also through its spiral-mixing chamber and barrier flights provides a consistent homogeneous melt to the accumulation area.

Shot to shot repeatability and superior mixing capabilities can be added to existing screw designs to solve many different processing problems without increasing recovery time.

Adding the APV mixing valve to our high performance screw design allows us to effectively increase the L/D of the screw by putting the mixer in the valve instead on the end of the screw. Longer length to diameter ratios allows for more efficient processing and faster recovery times.

Each valve is designed from OEM specifications and is engineered to be self-cleaning thus eliminating dead spots that can cause degradation or black specs. The APV mixing valve not only outperforms its competition in consistent closing but also is the only mixing valve of its kind on the market today.
